Firstly, I have been writing with music as the inspiration and the guide for years now, even when I was writing short films for me and my friends to film between jobs and life, I would create playlists that would fit certain scenes I could already partially imagine in my head and then I would play the songs while writing the scene or planning the scene out. I would fit the beats of the scene, blocking and talking etc, to the beats of the songs.

In film and T.V., disability is often used as a joke, something to laugh at, or is seen as something you need to overcome — so that even the blind lawyer can train their ears to become sonars so he can see his surroundings or people that have terrible accidents and now need physiotherapy to one day be able to stand on their own, can go against the statistics and work hard and they can dance at prom (looking at you, Glee) or walking down the isle at their own wedding.

I think connection between characters can go 1 of 3 ways: 1. Underdeveloped in a way that you can tell the film was most likely made in an afternoon with a case of bud. 2. over-explained and doing the MOST to tell the audience "Look, they care about each other because they said so". and 3. The sweet spot, actual connection between characters.
